Could bringing THIS to Islamic countries help squelch their violence?

I'm talking about plain old consumerism. What Islamic countries need to quit their violent, irrational fanaticism is more shopping. You cant wish to cut someone's head off for heresy when youre bloated on processed food and live in atrificially posh surroundings. Just look what its done for the Christians! Many used to be Inquisitionists and slave owners, now their angry, condemning god is a sweetie who makes allowances for material comfort! What the Middle East needs isnt pre-emptive strikes that encourage more terrorist cells to pop up. What they need is some good old-fashioned shopping malls. Today, when the Feast of the Nativity is celebrated with shopping carts full of PlayStations and fruitcake, who has time to be violent? Islamic needs a secular epiphany the way other religions once did.

5. Look at the United Arab Emirates (UAE) They have embraced Capitalism and life is good there.... Its the only place in the Middle East that Americans are still welcome for the most part... I have family that vacations there and I know people who work there. Its hard to get wrapped up in any kind of Religious Radicalism when your worried about your, House, Car, Pod, Watch and so on. Consumerism is the great dulling of Radicalism.
