And if Christianity is a religion of love and peace, how come Christian countries are very violent and have the highest crime rates?? One thing that differs facts from opinions is statistics. Statistics don't lie. Statistics have revealed that most Islamic countries are safer than most European countries. America is far more violent than Europe, and therefore is way more violent than most Islamic countries. Even in the Christian third world countries the crime is very great; in fact, it is the highest in the whole world. Please do not try to cite Iraq and Afghanistan for being violent, they were not like that until the Americans entered there and put the ruling regimes (which kept these countries very very safe) upside down. Americans! Have you not known that your capital city is one of the most violent places on earth? Yet it is still no match for Detroit, Baltimore, St. Louis, New Orleans,.....etc???!!!!!!! Is this the peace and love that Jesus taught you?!! What is very interesting is that although Europe and America are far wealthier than most Muslim countries, they are far more violent!!! Can you believe that around 2.5 million Americans are currently behind bars?? Look at the statistics regarding violent crimes in America and Europe: Manslaughter, arson, rape, child abuse, etc! They're horrible! Look at the racism! Look at the queer methods of killing and torturing! All that comes from a religion of love and peace while Islam is a religion of hate and violence???! Do you not know that the annual amount of violent crimes in Baltimore, Maryland (population less than 1 million people) is more than the annual amount of violent crimes in 25 Islamic countries (populatio more than 500 million people)??! People who are violent in Shari'a countries are threatened with cruel and unusual punishments, such as the removal of digits or hands. Here in Americaland, people go to jail for life, or are executed--at worst.

'Cause a lot of the violent things that happen in Islamic countries isn't a crime like it would be in the US. Also they kinda have some pretty harsh penalties. Trust me, I don't like Christians either. But it is a **** of a lot safer living around them.
Try not to mix politics and religion, and then blame one for the result of the other. Do you really think it was better living under a "ruling regime" where the people lived in constant fear of being put to death? Where freedom and liberty were unheard of? I'll take my more "violent" USA over a totalitarian regime any day.
I agree that the US has way too much violent crime. However, I wouldn't trade lower crime rates for the complete lack of freedom people have in many other countries. The Soviet Union under Stalin had a pretty low crime rate, but I wouldn't want to live there!
Most Islamic violence targets infidels, not other muslims (note I said most). Not even in DC, Detroit, Baltimore etc. were 3,000 people killed in the same attack. And neither city could have been compared to Beirut in the 70s, Kosovo or Ambon in the 90s, Beslan, etc. Also, the only christian country I know of is Pitcairn island and I don't even think they lock their doors there. The US sure isn't one, and it's way more christian than Europe.

Any older adult unable to take care of themselves will be allowed to die with dignity, in a medical establishment, by euthanasia. This will allow us to empty the nursing homes and eliminate the huge financial drain on the publics resources. Many of these people are in a vegetative state and would prefer to end their life. Thus removing the ones who cannot work and even enjoy themselves or at least take care of themselves. The social security will be available to those who are simply retired and want a few years to enjoy before death. Anyone over 70 may be able to have euthanasia in a medical facility at no cost to their family. Anyone 80 years old will be required to report for euthanasia, family members are required to see that this is done. This is a merciful provision to allow humans to die with dignity when the time has come. As to prisons: Anyone convicted of a crime such as murder or pedophiles or rape or considered dangerous to the public. It is proven beyond any shred of doubt must be euthanasia. It is to be carried out by a speedy sentence. Within that month or two months at the latest. Any capital crime, receives the death sentence. All prison inmates are required to work in the fields harvesting the crops under armed guard. If they are unable to do manual labor then they are to work in the factory’s. Anyone unable to work is to receive a death sentence. They will be paid no wages during their incarceration. They are to be given any job that it is difficult to find anyone else to do. Large religious organizations will be against the law. All money’s collected by these organizations was confiscated to help the public. It was the public’s money and so was collected to help the public. As was all religious buildings and their resources. You can believe whatever you like but keep it to yourself. We are having a don’t ask don’t tell policy towards religion. This is in an effort to stop the religious wars through out the country. This was instituted after the Muslim uprising and the bombing in Los Angeles. When there was a growing animosity between Christians and Muslims. To avoid a civil war between religion’s in the USA. I resent the assumption that all americans blindly subsribe to christian doctrine... and you don't need religion in order to lead an ethical & positive life, effecting the people around you & your society with love, respect & humility. Also, while I know genital mutilation (aka female circumcision) is not a musltim tradiation, and actually has roots in older naturalistic traditions of the middle east & africa... no matter how low the murder or rape rate is in a country... if You're cutting little girls clitoris off, that's f*cked up & counteracts any statistics that appear to make a country less violent. They are safe countries unless you are in some way a dissident from Islam. The benevolence and safety of a cultural system is measured by how minorities and dissidents are treated. When churches are established as freely in Islamic countries like Saudia Arabia as they are in the United States, when there is no violent coercion in terms of religion in countries like the Sudan, and when the Koran can be examined using the same historical critical methods as the Bible has been submitted to in the West without fear of reprisal-- then, and only then will your arguments have merit.
It is not all about religion but it is about cultures. Even in the same country you can find areas are safer than others. Commonly, the big cities that holds many different people and more money are suffering from more violent and high percentages of crime. On the other hand, the most poverty exists the most violent you get whatever the religion there is. Also we should recognize that believers (whatever their religion is) are more patient to face the bad conditions and to not act violently that they try to avoid committing bad things like steal, kill, rape...etc. I would like to add that the political situation plays a big role in what violence the country suffers from. What do you consider crime and violence? You must mean unsanctioned murder, as Muslims often kill and claim it to be God's will. In Israel, aren't most of the suicide bombers Muslim? And what about Saudi Arabia? Didn't the royal family kill one of its own princesses (who was a little girl) because she winked at her bodyguard? Didn't Iraq kill its own prince in the 70s for sleeping with an English woman? Isn't it Islamic law that your father shoot you in the head for premarital sex? Sounds like you don't call those acts crime and violence. I would. That said, no one can deny America's high crime rate. Although US laws were based on Christian tenets on paper, I don't believe these tenets were really the foundation of US law in spirit. The first "Americans" were supposedly fleeing religious persecution in England, but they were willing to kill Native Americans to do it. Just as bad if not worse, these Christian men and women kept slaves and the specter of that centuries-old sin still haunts the US to this day. In America, many (if not most) people claim Christianity but they probably aren't really living the Christian life. I'm not sure if the same can be said of Muslims in the Middle East. When they kill, they claim to be doing it in God's name. But regardless of the reason, it's still very violent. In the US, we also have separation of church and state. Many people are proud of that and would fight to the death for it. I don't agree or disagree with this. However, Islam is an endemic part of many Middle Eastern countries. Hence, you call them "Islamic" countries. The governments there often rule by sharia, or religious law. On the other hand, America is NOT a Christian country. In fact, no religion is really as much a part of America as Islam is of most places in the Middle East.

Its never fair to equate any religion with violence and put a religion on trial for the actions of some individuals. I think it is rather: lack of religion and breakdown of the family unit that includes also the extended family, that is perhaps largely responsible for societal violence and crime, coupled with the introduction of Materialism in place of religion and promotion of greed through Materialism. Yes: I do know someone who has lived in Saudi for several years, and they have told me of Americans who have lived in Saudi for as long as 20-25 years. They feel so secure and safe living there so much so they stay for so long. Same for others expatriates living in the Gulf regions. The pure religion of Islam promotes peace and stability and is a complete holistic guiding principle for family life and life in general. And the Islamic religion is STILL a strong guiding principle of life and family unity in these countries, thus explaining low crime and violence generally. Peace.
I just wanted to say a few words for whatever it is worth. The United States isn't all Christian. I don't know statistics but I'm sure there are many people in the United States that haven't accepted Jesus Christ into their heart and lives. There are all sorts of religions here in the US. So why is it the Christians who are responsible for all the violence in the "Christian" countries. I didn't even know there was a "Christian" country. As far as I was taught, Satan works hardest in the lives of those who are closests to God. Satan doesn't need to do anything with the people whom he has control over already. He's got them hook, line and sinker. Just wondering, if the "Islamic" countries are so safe and a joy to live in, then why are there so many native Islam people living here in the United States. Wouldn't they just love to stay in their peaceful country instead of coming over here? I have friends in the United Arab Emirates. That's not entirely true. Have you seen the World Peace Index? (Visionofhumanity.com) While the U.S. ranks around the same as most MENA and predominantly Muslim countries (exceptions Morocco, Tunisia, Oman, Qatar, and a bit of South Asia), Western Europe, Canada, Australia, Argentina, Japan, Madagascar, and a few scattered others ranked highest. Not one predominantly Muslim nation was in the top 10 (although Denmark, at number 3 is said to have the highest population of Muslims). Now, I live in a wonderfully peaceful Muslim country, Morocco, and I'm from the states, so you'd imagine that my perspective on violence has changed...it has. Moroccans are, on the whole, nonviolent people. They also practice a pretty moderate (relatively, anyhow) form of Sunni Islam, and are not under Shari'a law. It seems to me then, that Muslim morals combined with Western-style government/laws works a whole lot better than Shar'ia. Also...why suggest that the United States is a Christian country? It's a 76% Christian country (Source: CIA Factbook). The others are Jewish, Muslim (each 1%), "other" or "no religion." That leaves a large percent of the population without Jesus. So why drag him into it?

This is exactly why I'm going back home right after I finish school... My parents were sooo upset after the Virginia tech shooting... my mom said: " couldn't u study here instead of there? Nothing like that ever happens here... look at them... they just broke their last record in school shootings!!! " Since when I was 13-14... I used to go out alone... with friends my own age... without any adults... We used to go to the mall... movies... do stuff that teenagers do... and come back home around 12 a.m.... I always felt safe... I never knew anyone who had something happened to them... violence was just for the movies... But now... I turn on the local news... and omg... even 1 minute of it makes me pee my pants... I can't wait to go back home...
