Why did not prophet Muhammed punish his companion who committed horrible war crimes?

There is a story in Islamic history books about prophet Muhammed who sent some of his companions (led by Khalid Ibn Al Waleed) to a village to preach Islam. When those companions told the village people about Islam some of them did not show much interest in it. Therefore, the Muslim leader (Khalid Ibn Al Waleed) killed those people and enslaved some of them. When they returned to prophet Muhammed and told him about what their leader did, prophet Muhammed was not happy and told them he is not responsible or what Khalid did. The funny thing is that prophet Muhammed had never punished that leader for those crimes. Actually, he sent him back in another mission few weeks after that horrible crime. Was not prophet Muhammed supposed to punish that leader who comitted horrible war crimes?

  1. the same question, the same tactic from you so here is my same answer Waiting for someone to post an answer saying it did not happen before you post the link RIGHT? The same childish tactic. Then you post a link in Arabic and claim that it is saying whatever you WANT it to say. You need to mature or grew up. It is almost 30 minutes without a single answer. LOL
