Why did prophet Muhammed kill people in such horrific way?

I have read in Bukhary [226; 5254] and also in Muslim [3162] that some people were sick and threfore prophet Muhammed sent them with his servant to drink camel urine and milk. Afterward they became just fine and they killed the servant and stole the camels. Prophet Muhammed sent his companions to arrest them and he cut off their legs, hands, and eyes and he threw them in the desert until they died by hunger, thurst and heat. My question is: No doubt those people committed a crime and they had to be punished, but ... is not the way prophet Muhammed punished them too severe? It would not be more human to simply kill them? I know that by the time the incident took place there was nothing in Quran for how to punish killers, but I am asking about how propohet Muhammed was supposed to react, even without god's words, should he do something more human? I am just asking this question because I hear people always say that prophet Muhammed used to have alot of "Mercy" One more question, is not that a conflict-of-interest from prophet Muhammed to give the verdict in the case although he was the one whose cattle been stolen? http://hadith.al-islam.com/Display/Display.asp?Doc=0&Rec=394&SearchText=???????+??+???????+????????+&SearchType=root&SearchLevel=root&Scope=all&Offset=0 anjelica_77 The references I cited are Bukhary and Muslim, which are the most (and only) two authentic sources for hadith. How can I know prophet Muhammed well without reading them? do you have other referneces? Zorro: Please follow the link I posted. thanks http://hadith.al-islam.com/Display/Display.asp?hnum=5254&doc=0&IMAGE=%DA%D1%D6+%C7%E1%CD%CF%ED%CB

  1. He was just mean. Splooch!
  2. can't answer truthfully without being reported for abuse
  3. Its better to be killed that way than have to endure the greatest pain with GOD'S punishment later after-life for committing such crime..( Not that i'm heartless, but we just cant imagine God's punishment..be very fear on that people!!)
  4. Did you know that the "prophet" Muhammad was born out of wedlock? Well, maybe he had it in for everyone because he was angry at mankind for being born. He was a meany to be sure. He should have been more humane but look at where he came from and you will see that this is ordinary behaviour to his upbringing. Thank you for your question.
  5. Volume 4, Book 52, Number 226: Jabir bin 'Abdullah said, "We set out, and we were three-hundred men carrying our journey-food on our shoulders. Then we began to eat a single date each per day." A man asked (Jabir), "O Abu 'Abdullah! How could a person be satisfied with a single date?" Jabir replied, "We realized the value of that one date when we could not even have that much till we reached the sea-shore, when all of a sudden we saw a huge fish cast by the sea. So, we ate of it as much as we wished for eighteen days." What does this verse have anything to do with what you claim it says???? Or the one below?? From Muslim 3162 " Book 007, Number 3162: Anas b. Malik (Allah he pleased with him) reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: O Allah, increase in Medina twice the blessings (Thou showered) on Mecca. "
  6. its stupid of us to believe everything we read ,so many words and events have been twisted through all these years,if you know prophet Mohamed well you wouldn't buy this stupid story believe me
  7. Are you "Bob the seeker"? Well, you are reciting hadiths. Not all hadiths are authentic, ie from the Prophet. As a matter of fact, many have been proven to be false. Scholars have categorised hadiths in ranges from weak to reliable. Yes, weak hadiths are also found in Bukhary.
  8. I don't know what you're talking about ,or what is it you're trying to prove here.
  9. why are you lying?
  10. These things are not true, may be the places where you are getting these info's from are attributing themselves ti Bukhari and Muslim but in reality are made up. Dont trust alot of the things you get on the net, do your research on reliable sources. You want reliable Bukhari and Muslim on the net? http://www.sahihalbukhari.com http://www.sahihmuslim.com but may i say, dont try to interprete them, as there are many things you need to know, not just the hadeeth.
  11. HE didnt know God
  12. Salaam, I read the explanation on the link you provided and it said the method prescribed by the Prophet (pbuh) was exactly what those murderers did to the shepherd that was barbarically killed by THEM with absolutely no just reason. This is what the Quran says about retaliation "And we prescribe for them therein the life for a life, the eye for the eye, the nose for the nose, the ear for the ear, the tooth for the tooth, and for wounds of retaliation. But whosoever forgives it (in the way of charity), it shall be expiation for him. Whosoever judges not by that which God has revealed, such as wrongdoers." (Qur'an 5:45). There are many incidents where the Prophet forgave the people who did him harm, but this is not one. This was a case of an eye for and eye, they got exactly what they did to the poor Shepherd. Nothing less, Nothing more. This was made precedent to all those who spread corruption. Mohammed (pbuh) was real. He was kind, merciful, but at the same time he was firm and just as he had a community depending on him. Innocent civilians have every right to be protected and even if it's not a rosy picture, the fact is criminals will think twice before committing such crimes. Islamically, if the victims family choses to forgive the perpetrator they have that right, but if they want justice they have that right too. In this case, the shepherd had no family. The Prophet (pbuh) made the decision to show them as much mercy they showed the innocent shepherd.
  13. Wow...nice horror movie. But why did the director choose the name of our beloved Prophet for that role? :(
