Was Vlad Dracul wrong to use Islamic impalement on Muslims?
Vlad the Impaler sure has been given a bad rap by the media, after all, he was just a someone who refused to be a slave of Muslims and turned the horrors of Islam upon itself. Impalement was entirely and Islamic practice. Its believed to have started with the Persians, but it was the Muslim empires that made this mainstream. Romans crusifiction was no picnic either, but of course, the Romans have been given the full credit for this horror. I mean, you never heard of a Jew named "David the Crusifier" have you? I do find it odd that the Islamic practice of impalement is more associated with a brave resistor of Islamic imperialism than with the people who employed the practice regularly. I suppose its further evidence of how the implied threat of death, which is omnipresent with respect to anyone who dares critcize Islam, has always been in play. By the way, Muslims still impale people today, you can even watch Islamic impalement videos online. CAUTION!!! - Well, I didn't watch it because I don't want to be disturbed, but I do know that people in Hungary or wherever he was from still consider him a national hero for saving them from the Ottoman Empire.
