Islamic question: If I play video games that have blood and violence for fun , is it against islam (haram)?
I have a game called Call of Duty 3(shooting game) , which has violence and a little bit of blood; I also have a game called Gears of War(also shooting game) which has blood, gore, and violence (that includes body parts falling apart, and blowing off heads). Neither games have sexual content. I play the games just for fun and to waste time. Is it haram to play both of them. Thank You

- No! In fact this is a good thing. I'm sure the Islam people would be happy you're having fun. Why would Allah put video game on earth if Allah doesn't want people to have fun? Hell you can drink blood all you want to if you feel like it! Don't knock it until you try it.
- I dont think so because you are not killing anyone in reality. I've never heard from anyone that it was haraam.
