Iran taking Islamic law and twisting it?
Don't you think Iran is taking Islamic law and twisting it by saying they will execute; producers, directors, cameramen and actors involved in making a pornographic video and claiming the Quran says so? This is exactly why people have misconceptions about Islam isn't it? Ohyeah y: are you saying it is ok to twist the meaning of the Quran? We should not base our actions on our own opinions. This is why Islam has a bad reputation. Just like the terrorist who use the name of Islam to get their point across... I think you should speak with your local Imam about this because you are confused.

- why do you care??? does that really concern you?
- There is no Islamic injunction to validate such a claim; it is the Iranified version of this religion. I have not heard of this though.
- pornography is evil. but we dont need to kill them. we should just jail them and fine them. and tell them about Jesus to change them
- Unfortunately most "islamic" countries twist the religion by claiming that certain laws and actions are attributed to Islam.. Thank God I live in a country where i can practice Islam properly without the help of the state. (i live in Australia btw) Peace and Love!
- I am not sure on that point. but the quran does say do not kill ?? but certainly on many points men twist it to suit their own desires.
- Why do you want pornographic video to go on. Stop evil by all means. Iran is only just threatening.....it just like your mother's warning.
- Shariah law is inhumane wherever it is used. The separation of mosque and state is important. Those who oppose religious freedom give their beliefs a bad name. If a majority of Muslims do not support individual liberties or human rights, then it is not a misconception to view Islam as a violent religion. Hopefully, the majority will not feel this way. Muslims are doing well in secular Turkey, so I'm not completely disturbed. But every time I hear about female genital mutilation or purdah, then listen to Muslim platitudes about it being "cultural," but not "religious," I feel sickened. If it's an abuse of human rights, then it should be opposed... Murdering porn stars is not humane. It's their sex life, their religion, and their personal business. It is not the job of the state to kill people to make a religious example for the supposedly "peaceful" Muslims...and it reflects badly on all Islam.
- You are right. It's unfortunate that the Moderates refrain from speaking out against any type of religious distortion. The Moderates allow the Radicals a free hand at distorting their religion.
- Islamic law is twisted. Untwist it here: http://www.islam-watch.org/
- That would be the precise reason my father decided to get my entire family out of Iran. With all the love he had for Iran, my father found it was not worth living in a country that "made Islamic laws of its own". Things are different now. Iran is becomming more free and soon things will change. Iran is still developing and within 2-3 years, god willing, things will be good enough for me to return to the beloved country of my birth. Already a lot of rules have changed ever since my family left the country. Well I pray everyday for things to get better....And my most important would bee for Iran to realize a true version of Islam. May God make the govt. realize that they are not doing the right thing. God bless Iran and the muslims....
- Islam is rotten from its root..it is ugly culture of Arabs spreading like a disease among human being...killing millions of people over the centuries and bringing suffrage to human life more than any other atrocity..whether it is twisted or not..it is ugly anyway.
- Islam is the perfected religion. It does not need to be changed. The punishment for these crimes is not death, but lashings. If they started to enforce Islamic law they would not need to twist it and say the death sentence is needed. Once they started whipping these people I am sure pornography would definitely decrease. I guess an actress had a video tape of her released with it showing her having sex. Islam does not say sex is taboo. Islam explains sex is to be between a man and a wife. Iran already does not follow Islam by allowing temporary marriages for sex or other purposes. I don't understand why they can allow one thing haraam to occur but take an extreme with another thing. Anyone who tries to change Islam will be punished when it is judgement day.. sebcue, I did not know that Iranians where Arabs!! When did this happen? they are Persians........
- This is nothing when compared to Times of India Bombay story about 2 Muslim sisters pursuing college education. Their neighbor, a goon named Ansari is taunting & harassing them saying that "only bad girls study in College", & that "Islam prohibits Colleges!" Islamic Law ? 'Law '&' islam 'R two terms that R mutually exclusive.
- Yes I think so.. Iran suffers ,any cultural additions to Islam like most Muslim countries.
- If Iran is doing this, I do not see the problem. Getting rid of the pornographic scourge is a good step in removing moral rot.
