  1. You made some very true claims here. I think the problem with the muslim world is simply the fact that they don't want to recognize their own responsibility . In other words, it's the lack of " self criticism ". Of course it's much more easier to always blame the others for your own failures. But the most important thing here, I believe, is the resposibility of religious leaders. When you teach people to follow blindly some rubbish called " hadiths " and accept religious texts without really any critical or rational basis, the result woudn't be any better than what you see today. I think institutionalized religion is the most horrible and dangerous thing in the world. ( And believe me I know what I'm talking about. ) What I'm saying here applies to all religions. I'm fircely opposed to such a system, whether it's Christian or muslim or other. The question of God and religious scriptures is something strictly personal, and it's up to each individual to make his own idea of them. According to the standard muslim view, your mind must be confined within the Ayatollahs' and religious leader's traditional interpretation of the Koran. They force their own primitive and barbaric view on it. It's an insult to the intelligence of any open-minded human being. That's what I believe all religions must be adapted to and understood on the basis of human knowledge and conscience. However, what's been going on in the islamic world, is exactly vice versa.
  2. That is a cultural practice, not a religious one. Try to learn the difference before you criticize an entire religion for the actions of a few.
  3. Christianity was able to correct many wrong cultural practices. If the muslims are real, they should also correct any inhuman practices that are there in their place.

  5. well mr judge and jury, these are their beliefs, norms and values. If they are different from yours, then it is not their mistake. Sex in such cultures is a major sin that is punishable by death. By the way your ancestors had similar values in the past, seems that they no longer apply because of the level of immorality that now dominates your society.
