- The most famous historic site in Hebron sits on the Cave of the Patriarchs. The site is holy to all three Abrahamic faiths, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, due to their traditional connections to Abraham. Peace! The present Arabic name of Hebron is Al Khalil, meaning "the friend." The city was named after Prophet Abraham who was called "Khalil" in the Quran: "Who can be better in religion than one who submits his whole self to Allah, does good, and follows the way of Abraham the true in faith? For Allah did take Abraham for a friend." Holy Quran 4:125 This website will help answer your question, Peace! The kid: I think you forgot about the Romans? What did the Romans do?
- The Muslims calls the promiss through Ishmael and not through Isaac so now you will believe them on everything?
- Muslims dont take the Cave as Jews and Christians. Jews and Christians like to idolize things. Muslims just want to keep it holy and free of any trouble. They way to do this is put a Masjid on it. Are you going to go kill them like that one guy did? Maybe you will get praised for it also.
- Yes, Islam learned about Abraham from the Torah (the Jewish Bible). Abraham's transaction in purchasing a burial site in Hebron for his wife, Sarah, is noted clearly in the Torah. It is not unusual to see mosques covering over the Jewish holy sites. The claim to Hebron is another politically motivated --and relatively recent -- adoption of a Jewish city by followers of Islam. For many years, there were Jewish residents in Hebron. In 1929, Arab rioters massacred their Jewish neighbors, effectively destroying the local Jewish community. In 1931, 35 families returned to Hebron; in 1936, renewed Arab riots forced the Jews out again. From 1948 (when Jordan occupied Hebron), Jews were barred from living there and from praying at the Cave of the Patriarchs. (The Koran does not mention Jerusalem either. Yet, now, many Muslims also expediently claim Jerusalem.) Even the Arabs in Israel today have no place names that were originally called by Arabic terms. The Arabic names of most places derive from the original Hebrew names (since Biblical times) or were culled from later Greek or Roman names. http://www.amislam.com/report.htm
- Hebron is a holy city to Jews as the Fathers are buried there, there is no mention of Hebron in the Quran, there is no mention of Jerusalem in the Quran. It is the Arab thing to do, in every and any place that is holy to Jews, Arabs built Muslim sites. Faraj ARS (anty reality speaker) ARAB answer this On Friday, August 23, Arab mobs attacked Jews in Jerusalem, Motza, Hebron, Safed, Jaffa, and other parts of the country. The Old City of Jerusalem was hit particularly hard. By the next day, the Haganah was able to mount a defense and further attacks in Jerusalem were repulsed. But, the violence in Jerusalem generated rumors throughout the country, many carrying fabricated accounts of Jewish attempts to defile Muslim holy places, all to inflame the Arab residents. Villages were plundered and destroyed by Arab mobs. While attacks on Jews in Tel Aviv and Haifa were thwarted by Jewish defenses, there were Jewish deaths in Hebron, where 67 Jewish men and women were slaughtered and Safed, where 18 Jews were killed, as well as scattered other losses totaling 133 Jewish deaths, with more than 300 wounded.
- You might also like to note that Jerusalem is not mentioned ONCE in the Quran either. Muslims claim it is very special to them yet they pray facing Mecca, not Jerusalem. Mecca and Medina are the holiest Islamic cities, not Jerusalem and Hebron.
- the bible doesn't mention that America is for Christians but Americans still love their country ! you cant take a place and say that its your just because you think its holy to you, Hebron is a part of Palestine not a part of Israel, don't try to justify stealing Palestinian people's homes in Hebron with this nonsense.
- the julan heights and shebaa farms are not mentioned in torah or the bible why does israel occupy both
