Why are Muslims claiming that there is less rapes in Islamic countries?

This is of course manipulation of the figures to say the least. 13. Lack of breathing victims, for the most part. Unless a woman can produce four witnesses that say she was raped, she's considered to be no better than a prostitute. And the penalty for that particular crime is being buried up to her waist and stoned to death by the men "defending" the family honor. Corpses don't have much say when it comes to being included in rape statistics.

19. Women are required to be escorted by a male family member when out in public. They are required to have chaperones on dates. They are not allowed to have driver's licenses. The requirement of wearing a burka means there is less visual temptation and you really wouldn't be sure what you were going to get if you did rape someone (she may be an ugly 80 year old or a young fine 20 year old you wouldn't know. There are immediate severe punishments for men caught or even accused of rape. The traditions of the Muslim countries may seem backward and extreme to western thinkers but it does have the result of limiting rape although this is not reflected in statistics of husbands raping their wives which there are no known statistics.

21. There is less rape in Islamic countries because they always blame the girl for seducing their men. and all sort of reasons to save the man's reputation. Unless the girl dies and there are established witnesses then that is the time they do not hide it. Another thing, specially in the Middle East, most that are raped are young boys and it's not manly for them to complain Most also are from third country nationals who are hired as maid servants even the shaven male workers. In Pakistan, it has been a tradtion that woman who are raped are looked down as a lowly kind of woman so they usually hide what happened so they can still meet a man who will be willing to give a dowry. Woman being raped there is always to the disadvantage of the victim. It is like a city that has no crime rate because they do not make records of it. Do not believe them. I lived in Saudi Arabia long enough to know their hypocrisy.

23. Because women who report rapes are often jailed or worse for breaking the seperation of genders rule. Also families are shamed by 'defiled' women therefore rape isn't reported. And muslim women claim they're not subjugated.
24. Islamic countries dont report their crime data like civilized countries do. When a Muslim says "we have no crime", bascially he just wants you to take his word for it. Ive researched this in some depth and found very little to no data. Furthmore, Islamic countries are largely theocratic and autocratic...thus theres just no way to get hard data or send journalists into the community...but its so odd that Islamic governments dont allow this scrutiny, after all, if their totalitarian regimes really did produce lower crime rates, you would think that they would invite the scrutiny...

28. well im not claiming that... there is rape everywhere and if you looked deeper you would realise that muslim women are the heart of islam she is the most respected and treasured heaven lies at the mothers feet men and women have different roles but let me assure you, they are equal the word female appears in the holy book more times than the word male figures are figures... but facts are facts... women are treasured in islam and maybe a women is scared to report rape because of the fact that she is ashamed... how many women have not reported rape in britain?? i doubt religion has to do with anything... more like the feeling of shame and humility muslims are individual people... stop casting them as one if you cant, then leave your opinions to yourself
