  1. By default, the BlackBerry device user interface is in English. Because English script is left-justified and written from left to right, other scripts that are right-justified and written from right to left may not display properly on the device. This behavior occurs when either Arabic Language Support or Hebrew Language Support is installed on the device. For a list of supported and unsupported device applications and functions when content is written from right to left, refer to the table below. Unsupported Functions Calendar, Address Book, Notes, MemoPad, and Tasks Wired and wireless data synchronization Editing functions (i.e., selecting, copying, and pasting) Horizontal scroll bar location (it is left-justified) Supported Functions Messages, SMS, and MMS messages Web sites (partially supported) On the device, web sites containing scripts written from right to left do not display correctly. For example, a line of Arabic text might break at the wrong location, causing the sentence to read incorrectly.
  2. Here is a way, i tried it on my 8830 and it works download attached ZIP file 1. Extract the two files to known directory I recommend C:\ 2. Connect BB to the computer via USB 3. On the computer get to the command prompt, if you have XP click on start run and type cmd hit enter 4. Type javaloader -u load <Pathfilename> Your BB will reboot once or twice don't panic, you can read Arabic and Hebrew emails, webpages, SMS ... etc. The files you will need to enable Arabic language support are located here: http://www.blackberryforums.com/attachments/rim-software/8765d1186546774-arabic-language-support-arabic-hebrew-reading-support.zip
