Islamic Sharia Law against women is unavoidable in UK, will it soon be unavoidable in America?

Dr Williams says Muslims should have a choice in legal disputes. The Archbishop of Canterbury says the adoption of certain aspects of Sharia law in the UK "seems unavoidable". Dr Rowan Williams told Radio 4's World at One that the UK has to "face up to the fact" that some of its citizens do not relate to the British legal system. Dr Williams argues that adopting parts of Islamic Sharia law would help maintain social cohesion.http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/72326... =============================== Seems like women nowadays don't need men to put them down. They already put themselves &each other downcalling each other ho$s and bi(tches(thinking its normal).Date men who abuse them.Women allow men to govern their lives. Men gave almost 200 years of excuses for not allowing women to vote& women accepted the excuses. Every year its a different excuse, women accept. A woman running for President more excuses(too fat, too ugly, too con, too lib, cries, coughs too much. AGAIN women accepts.

  1. In the USA, all of such matters are handled in civil courts and that's that. Those who refuse to abide by rule of law are either deported or wind up in prison, depending on their actions.
  2. <<some of its citizens do not relate to the British legal system>> I think anyone wanting to immigrate to another country needs to sign a contract stating they agree to abide by that country's judicial system. If they don't want to sign, they don't get in, period.
  3. In America we have the Establishment clause in the first amendment to the constitution. We won't have Islamic OR Christian Sharia Law.
  4. it would be religious law and therefor unconstitutional...
  5. Seeing what is going on in the UK lately, I fear they are getting nuttier and nuttier in many respects. Not only are alot of personal freedoms slowly being chipped away, but now this nonsense from the Archbishop, second crazy thing from him this week I think.
  6. The women who are unable to avoid Sharia law in the UK are living in deep, impenetrable communities. Even the average British Muslim woman is well ensconced in the 'real world'. Rowan Williams has been rightly criticized by most media in Britain for what he said, whether it was out of context or not. Even the few Sharia courts in Muslim areas practice it only within the bounds of British law.
  7. They should abide by the laws in place in the host country or leave. You can't have two different systems operating.
  8. It is avoidable in the US,,but the Brits have already accepted it..
  9. OK, you have a point with the Islam stuff . . . but what's this about sexism? You can't blame all men today for what a few men did centuries ago. That's a grossly inaccurate generalization. Further, it is disturbing to see that you would vote for someone simply because they are a woman. Good night!
  10. Islamic Sharia Law against women is unavoidable in UK, will it soon be unavoidable in America? The European Catholic Churches already practice ruthless gender discrimination against women (no women ministers/priests due to gender only) and also marital status discrimination (only unmarried, males only can become European Catholic ministers/priests/politicians). European Catholicism = Islam = identical monopoly thinking: no questions allowed - convert or die so to speak.
  11. Why should sharia law be acceptable in any non-Islamic country? If Muslims choose to emigrate to non-Islamic countries, they should integrate into the existing legal system. Allowing the legal system of one country to infiltrate into another implies that any group of citizens have the right to have their systems in place any wher they live. Eventually it means that there would no longer be one set of laws iin a country, but several, and each citizen would ultimately have to be aware of all such legal systems. It weakens all legal systems and promoted chaos. There can only be one legal system in place in any one country.
  12. watching some of these things being discussed about english laws and things relating to this, makes me glad the US has the separation of church and state, even if its not as specifically law as some think, the intent is still clearly there. theres utterly no way that anyone would sanely allow something like that. at least in my view, "some of its citizens do not relate to the British legal system." means nothing. at least in the US, nobody CARES if they "do not relate to" the legal system. they either follow it, or they can go elsewhere. theres simply no place to have such separation like that. all the laws apply to all the people.
  13. The idiot that proposed that has met a lot of scorn. People are unhappy. Common sense answer: If you want to live under Sharia law move to a county that has it. The UK does not have Sharia law and neither does the USA. If you want to live under that system then that is fine but move to where it is. Don't try to move to a country and force your will on the people who live there. That is idiotic. Honor killing is against UK and USA law but in Sharia law if it is allowed, does that mean a man can kill his daughters and not be punished? Yet a man who is not a Muslim and feels betrayed by his daughter and kills her will get life becuse he is not under Sharia law? Give me a break. Anyone who resides in the country needs to abide by the same law. Period. If I go live in Iran and commit a crime do you think I will be allowed to have a democratic jury of 12 of my peers give me a trial? Nope, nor would I think that was an option so WHY WHY WHY do people who feel Sharia law is best want to live in a country that has a different legal system? Just another case of certain religions whining about what they want and how mistreated they are. My response is to go live in a place you are more comfortable. By the way some of the citizens in the USA and Israel do not relate to the countries legal systems either. That is why they wind up in prison. The man who killed in daughter in Texas because they "dishonored him" by dated western boys, might be let go under Sharia law. In Texas, the state of the death chamber, he will be given a trail and judged by 12 people and no doubt if found guilty, he will be executed. Two very different scenarios. Life means something in the USA and the UK. Life seems to have less meaning for some people under Sharia law and that is not acceptable to a Western system.
  14. i don't understand this but men and women are equally equal no matter what :) and don't blame all men........... i wasn't around back in those days........ Wheter your a man or women doesn't matter.. were equal... :) i want my wife to be able to fix cars not only me, maybe drive motorcycles....I want her to be able to lift heavy things....we both need to work......i don't care if she shaves or not.. i don't care if she likes having muscles, GOD created every man a wife of their own and God created every women a husband of their own.. were all differen't. :) not all women are alike and that's the way God wants It. same goes with men.. not all men are alike.. that's how God wants it.. some men/women are cheifs, some are golfers, some are zologist, some are toilet cleaners, some are power builders meaning muscle people who break wood and such.... see were all equal and differen't other wise if we all were the same there would be no chiefs, no nurse, no docters, no president..etc. cause we all have that gift. but since we don't that's great. :) I hope this answered your question if not :(..well... she don't need me 100% on her back since GOD is our no. 1 and should be our 100%.. anywho... :) i don't want my wife to be those stereotype wives here are examples of stereotypes on wives: they have to cook, stay home, be lazy, be scared, be skinny, be fragle, be nonsence, be defendless, have to shave, where dresses, be mean, has to have the wolrd revolve around them since their women..etc. i don't want my wife to be that.... what i want is that we both can cook, be both take care of each other cause that's how God wants it. we both are NOT lazy, we both are not fragile meaning we can't do anything without getting hurt,... and such.. :) :D My wife isn't a wuss. :) the world doesn't revolve around her.... wuss is not only for men but for women too.. people don't realize that and some dont know that... they think women are all that and are sex toys.. WHEN THEIR NOT.!!!!!! they are equal as us men. :) (and men are not sex toys either).............
