Hadith?? Muslim in the White House???

Is there a Hadith that says something to the effect that the last day will not come until there is a Muslim in the "white house." or something to that effect? I thought I heard Hamza Yusuf mention something to this effect many years ago closing a speech. Please any knowledgeable Muslims please reply. Thanks... thanks for the effort Poppy but maybe there could be a "weaker" hadith like ahmad or tirmidhi etc... I am almost certain Hamza Yusuf said this statement but do not know what he meant by it??? Still, I appreciate your effort : ) Sheep with Shotguns we need more open minded people like you : )

3. Hadith is not a book about the future, it just the teaching of Muhammad (saw) what he said, how he lived etc. The same as the Gospel.
4. ok, first of all, the muslims have a much better set of the ten commandments than the christians do. being an atheist, and at this moment voted for a christian, i am more than willing to vote for a muslim. the only restriction being, that i want a modern american muslim, one that believes in the issues most important to me. it is impossible for anyone running for office to meet all the positions i follow in this day and age, but i will still try to vote closest to it. and judging by some muslims i know it isn't too far fetched. try not to generalize too much, there are good people on all ends of the spectrum, just please try to notice them.

Hamza Yusuf is a good orator, but I highly doubt you heard that from him :) edit: OK, I quickly researched Hadith database by typing in ''white house'' in the search bar. It's a really handful tool for research. Maybe you'll find something in other books of Hadiths.

In islam it is said that the last day will not come until there would be muslims controlling the whole world,,so that by todays relevance means USA being the most powerful nation and if muslims conquer it.they would be controlling the world ,,,u can interpret as "muslims " controlling world from "white house".. Hamza Yusuf may have used it to explain the real logic of a muslim in white house is equivalent to controlling the world by muslims....
