Concerning the Hadith?

How much faith do you put in the Hadith? Like the mentioning of the Mahdi has no Quranic basis. And that some of the Hadith Contradict each other. Shouldn't all Muslims only Follow the Quran's teachings?

Public Comments

  1. (some of the Hadith Contradict each other) like!!!!
  2. I know what you mean.we can't recognize if a hadith is real or not. I mean many hadiths maybe are not told by prophete or Imams.only scientists of religion (vali faghih) can recognize it. you should ask them to ensure.
  3. The first source is the Qu'ran then comes the Hadith. The hadith has to be strong based. Muslims trust only about two books of hadiths which are strongly based, namely by Abu-Muslim and Bokhary.
  4. Hadith & Koran only
  5. My Holy Ghost (MIND) told me to wait, and I waited long before answering you. If you want to have an intelligent answer of this question of yours, you must like to read a lot, if you do then e mail me you will have it.
  6. I am not a muslim, but I believe the Hadith is absolutely an accurate recording of mohammeds beliefs and teachings. In fact, I have included a source of some of the most memorable things he left behind for us to know what sort of a person he truly was. Its hard for me to read anything about him because it makes me sick; the idea of a pedophile prophet does not sit well with me. He married a 6 year old girl and began sexual relations with her when she was 9 and he was in his 50's... I dont care who you are or what year it was, thats just sick and wrong, and I am quite sure he knew it.~~~AND BY THE WAY UMMEAMANAH~~~ of course I would not bring up my ancestors because none of them claimed to be a prophet of God. And you need to get educated, no where in "my peoples" history was it ever ok for a 50+ year old man to marry a 6 year old and have sex with a 9 year old. And no, my ancestors never engaged in that sort of thing. That was and is a Middle East thing, not a world thing.
  7. Actually there are no hadiths that contradict one another....this is a well known trick played by the Orientalists to confuse muslims. You see when you "COMPARTMANTALIZE" hadiths and put them in their own catagories they make sense. An ex would be the question of is 1)one woman's testimony only will be accepted or 2)two women's testimony only will be accepted or 3)no women's testimony will be accepted You would be surprised to know they are ALL right even though the untrained, islamically uneducated mind would say they contradict one another. Let me explain using the philosophy of putting them all in their indiv. compartments. The first case situation above would be in relation to matteers of a feminine nature that no man that is not related should be witnessing due to modesty. Say a woman claims she breastfed so and so's child (like a wet nurse in the days of old). Her testimony alone is sufficiant. IN the second situation it is in legal/business matters that their shold be two for many different reasons. In the third situation where a woman's testimony can not be accepted is where capital punishment for a criminal is involved. Think about it from the viewpoint of safety for the woman....she testifies by herself as the ONLY witness that she saw so and so kill someone. Her testimony will possibly invoke the death penalty which in turn might outrage the criminal's family. they in turn might harass her AT BEST and at worst kill her themselves. So you see, the hadiths do not contradict. As for JUST following the quran that is wrong according to the scholars for the very reason that Allah in the quran has told you to follow the quran and the way of the Prophet (his sunnah which in turn is shown in the hadith). This makes perfect sense if you look at it in the context that the quran tells you to pray five times a day but does not show you HOW. The quran tells you to make hajj but does not show you HOW. The "HOW" is shown by the sunnah which is in the hadith. If we did not have the hadith than we would be at liberty to pray five times a day but MAKE UP our own way on how to do it such as take for ex. the deviant sufis who twirl and think that is some form of worship or in place of prayer. Anyhow I hope this helps god willing. PS....there is someone above who wrote about the prophet (peace be upon him) and said he married a young girl. Actually he/she said worse things but I just want to respond to him/her by saying...."HAVE YOU READ YOUR OWN HISTORY, WORLD HISTORY, AND STATISTICS OF THE AGE OF MARRIAGE BACK THAN THROUGH OUT THE WORLD?" Obviously not because his/her lack of education shows that. Open up ANY 1936 encyclopedia and look up the age of marriage of woman to what age men they married ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD!!! You will find that the NORM was men of 25 and OVER were marrying girls who had just come of age(start menstrating). This was ALL over Europe (ya....YOUR PEOPLE!!!), Africa, Middle East, Far East....THE WORLD!!!!!! You see prior to a hundred years ago here in north america people like you would never hurl insults like that because the simple fact was since it was the norm your ancestors were engaging in it well.
  8. Hadith is what Prophet Mohammad PBUH has done or said in his lifetime, well as far as Hadiths are concerned many have written them and onyl, Bukhari Sharif is conseidered as the authority, because these hadiths were written by the 'Sohaba' companions of the Prophet and were interepted in different manners, following Hadith is a sunath while followinf quran is 'Faraz' Mandatory, so everyone should follow the quranic readings and well try to follow the path of Prophet which is hadith...
  9. everythin dat Prophet Mohammed(p.b.u.h) said in his hadith is true...cuz all he said in his hadith is by the command of The Almighty...as 4 Imam Mehdi A.S he is gonna come on da day of judgement...If u believe in da Prophet den u have 2 believe in his grandson Imam Hussain A.S & Imam Mehdi A.S is one of his decendants....yes all muslims have 2 follow the holy Quran...and if u understand Quran properly u will get da message of Allah...der is no shia'a or sunni...Allah asked us 2 follow da holy Quran and his prophet...it is da world who made all dese different casts...and all da things da prophet said is nuttin but da truth...
  10. Mahdi is mentioned in the quran(ghesas 5)
