The Hadith reveals that Muhammad had to ask forgiveness for sin more than seventy times a day. (Bukhari vol. I, nos. 711; 78; vol. V, no. 724) Since Muslims believe that prophets must be sinless, this means that Muhammad was not a prophet and he was a sinner??

  1. mohomed was an old paedophile
  2. you can't take your own meaning
  3. Well, since Islam does not consider beheading people, molesting children, or torturing people a sin... I'm not sure of how he could have been a sinner. Perhaps he did not behead enough people per day?
  4. its not considered areal sin but its bec he may shortening in doing the best thing(while he did allowed)
  5. Prophet Muhammad has a special place in history of mankind. He not only was the spiritual leader but he executed functions of a temporal leader equally well.He gave a scripture to his people to follow. He also transformed a medieval, illiterate tribal society in to disciplined group of followers who obey his teachings implicitly with out question. Most revolutions vanish without a trace. However this was an epochal change and still persists and growing today. Coming to your question, what it says demonstrates the humility of the man. Even a prophet can be wrong and can make amends for it just as any other.
  6. Sura 40:55: "Ask forgiveness of thy sin". Sura 18:110, "Say, I am but a man like yourselves." Sura 48:1-2, "Lo! We have given thee, (O Muhammad), signal victory, that Allah may forgive thee of past and that which is to come, and may perfect His favor unto thee, and guide thee on a right path" I've never actually heard a Muslim claim Mohamed was sinless. I can find Christian sources that attack a "Myth of the sinless Mohamed" but I can find no Muslim source making such a claim. Can you?
  7. Asking forgiveness is not only for sins committed but because of the inbuilt weakness in man to be able to perform the duties to the fullest. So, how much a man try he is unable to do his duties towards God to the fullest. Being a prophet, he has more duties to be done than any other Muslim, but he was a man also, so he has got his own limitation. The grace and mercy of God is infinite upon a person and he is unable to worship God to be equal to grace he has received, so it is ultimately the forgiveness of God that will eventually take a person to Heaven.
  8. Mohamed was simply a human being, and no human being is sinless. He was also and still is the example all Muslims should follow in their daily habits, because the Koran did not describe what to do each moment of the day, that is why Muslims watched the prophet and followed his lead, the Hadith gives the example of Mohamed to show that even Mohamed does that every single day so the Muslims should do the same.
  9. Wow, when did he have time to do anything else. We are all sinners.
