I wonder. A lot of Muslims seem to think that--and act on it.
no! because all are seen as potential muslims in Islam.

No where in al Quran.. it is said.. that non muslims.deserve to die..but allah SBT says.. if anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or (and) to spread mischief in the land - it would be as if he killed all mankind, and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind. And indeed, there came to them Our Messengers with clear proofs, evidences, and signs, even then after that many of them continued to exceed the limits (e.g. by doing oppression unjustly and exceeding beyond the limits set by Allah by committing the major sins) in the land!. ( سورة المائدة , Al-Maeda, Chapter #5, Verse #32)
keep in mind that Allah created all living beings. if non Muslims did not deserve to live, why would ALLAH create them in the first place. also remember that any person may accept Islam n become Muslim.

No there is nothing of that sort. Quran respects all human beings. Muslims cannot even force anyone to accept Islam. All non muslims can live peacefully even in muslim empire. And they enjoy all basic rights of a society but yes they are not allowed to do anything which Islam does not allow. e.g. gay marriages. free-sex society etc.
Apparently there is at least enough there to be interpreted that way. There is much in the bible that is misinterpreted as well.

I guess you can read the Qur'an in English and find out for yourself? People take all measures to find out things for themselves. But when rumors go around, they follow what others say and do little to find out on their own. If you like I'll give you my Qur'an in English, or go to your local library and you'll find out that Qur'an never states such things, only people with little brain say that.
