islamic countries....?

i was listening 1 of pakistani scientist-and ex minister of science(Dr' Attau u rehman)in a conference he was saying"population of Singapore is half of population of lahore(city where i live)but it's exports are more than exports of 57 islamic countries..this country is devoid of natural resources...but still ahead of whole islamic world.. why it is so? if you count number of educated people they are more in Pakistan than in Singapore..although literacy rat is low.. what can we do?

1. we can start of by being honest... or atleast be honest with ourself and our people... u know how things are in our country... people cheat their own brethrens.

3. The Nations like Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and Many more are more developed than their resources provide them to. Also the Islamic Nations are some of the Least Developed when they have plenty of resources in their land. All that I think the Problem is the Lack of Awareness and the lack of aggression to take up new and big tasks. All that Europe is banking upon is NOT their Abundant resources but the Machinery Industries (and the Chemical Industries.) SO all that I can Hope is that the Islamic Nations Turn their Heads to look at the way Europe is carrying it Over. And that they concentrate their Economy on Manufactured goods than Natural Raw Goods, like Cotton, Petroleum, Coal etc. ..Also not to Forget that their is Plenty of Corruptions in the Offices of the Islamic Nations all Across the world. From Africa to Indonesia.
4. We are devoid of Allah's fear which is the basis of all wisdom, as per our beloved prophet. We are not taught patriotism at all and are willing to sell anything that belongs to Pakistan, for a price, even its security and long term interests. Singapore exports value added highly technical products. We had a chance to establish mobile making firms in Pakistan, because we have one of the largest mobile consumer market in the world. But Mush government sold the rights to foreign firms without asking them to establish manufacturing facilities here. Similarly we procure billions dollars' arms and ammunition, but instead of making, buy it from outside. If we could produce arms and ammuntions locally, we can sell to 57 Islamic countries. Our engineers and policy makers are so lazy and cowards that they could not develop another Nuclear Power Plant which Ayub Khan made in the 60s. If you see carefully, Pakistan is a living miracle. Because every ruler and his coteries have looted it,except for the Quade Azaam and Liaqat Ali. But it is still surviving. Javed Iqbal Kaleem
5. I live in Singapore. Singapore has four major religions (Muslim, Christian, Hindu, Buddhist) and three major races (Chinese, Malay, Indian). In most societies this is a recipe for distaster. So why does Singapore succeed where the West is struggling with 'multiculturalism' and Islamic societies are struggling with true full freedom of treatment for non-Muslims? 1. Singapore is an authoritarian state. There's one government that never gets voted out of power and it controls everything. 2. The government guarantees security for the society with very few police. Children safely catch public transport alone at midnight, women walk around with skimpy clothes with absolutely no fear of rape or harassment of any type, and there are no slums or "no go zone". A society is not progressed if it's not safe; safety from a heavy police presence is not a safe society. 3. The country is secular. The only religious laws are shariah family law for the Muslim community. Religion therefore can't interfere with progress. Stem cell research is advancing in Asia, while it's stuck or struggling in Western societies because of the church's influence. In Islamic states it seems non-existent, but somewhat hypocritically the medical breakthroughs that develops from this research will nevertheless be adopted by the Muslim world. 4. Singapore opened its airways to the whole world with no restrictions. Dubai has done an excellent job doing the same and will eventually be a global hub because it's even more centrally located than Singapore. 5. Singapore is very pro-capitalist and minimal in its social services. It's very sad to see 80 year olds working as cleaners because they have no choice. But in western countries you see a lot of 80 year olds complaining life's too boring and lonely. The government has invested funds all over the world and has made a lot of money from its investments. 6. Bribery is not widespread and you get world class public services. A society will never progress if bribery is a natural part of its society and when basic needs aren't met. The government has given a lot back to the society, because this is the only way the government can stay in power without problems. 7. Compulsory education for men and women, and no discrimination against women. Women naturally have a higher rate of continuing education than men if there are no restrictions placed on them. This isn't the only model for success, but it's certainly worked for this tiny island.
6. It's not always about how literate you are. Illiterate people can have qualities of honesty, trustworthiness, kindness, patience and they can fear Allah. However people in Pakistan, whether educated or not, are quite the opposite of the aforementioned qualities. They need a complete makeover, both a religious one and a worldly one. They need to stop using shortcuts and start working hard for themselves, Pakistan and Islam. Pakistan is loaded with the problem of sectarianism, and most of them commit open shirk or bid'aa. When you try to tell these Pakistani people to the right things, they start calling you 'wahabis'.
7. I totally agree with Grassfell. I would like to stress the fact that world wide secular countries are the most developed in every sense. They look forward to the future, having learned from the past, but not living in it.
8. if u said there currency is stronger then pakistan then " actually currency is based on Resources divided by population basis " u can think in otherway too Pakistan is nuclear power but singapore is not.

The citizen comprise of Chinese, Malays, Indian and others which are having different religion, culture, traditions and ethnic. Singapore was once part of Malaysia. She break away from Malaysia in 1963 and formed her own nation name The Republic of Singapore. Among them living in unity and Harmony. Their Motto "Advance Singapore". They are the producer in many product and world wide distributors. The economy are strong and stable. The currency is high which is equivalent to Canada, Australia, Brunei and many others. There no riot in the country. Tycoon of the world invested in Singapore. Pakistan ; You know best the situation compare to Singapore. Unity among the citizen is very Important. Take Malaysia's Plan on "Islam Hadhari" as an Example to the development the Islamic Nation. In addition for information that Malaysia was the pioneer and the Starter The OIC by The Right Most Honorable The First Prime Minister The Late YTM Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj.
