Can western countries build temples and churches in Islamic countries like Muslim building Mosques in Europe?

Public Comments

  1. Why would you want to do that?
  2. No. I say we ban religion and be done with it.
  3. Most Islamic countries already have Christian and Jewish places of worship in them. Only the very extreme regimes don't. Be careful how you phrase the question.
  4. Yes and contrary to popular belief , there are churches and even Jewish houses of worship in Iraq currently .
  5. Not so much... no!
  6. I don't think countries are building churches in other countries. If there is a desire and the money to build a church a church will be built.
  7. You're kidding, right? Of course we can't. Diversity of religious belief would destroy them. They are adverse to freedom of choice and individual power. -- Which is all the more reason we need to bring it there and wake those backward bastards up
  8. No they can't. They can be killed for even believing in another religion that isn't Islam. The world is cowtowing to Muslims because many people are afraid of terrorists killing them.
  9. Legally, some yes, most no. But even where it's legal, the chances of the place getting firebombed next time some idiot hot-blooded Muhammadan decides he doesn't like a cartoon are pretty good.
  10. There are Christian churches in most predominantly Muslim countries, and in some, like Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Egypt, Christians have a good deal of legal protection. Many Muslim countries expelled all their Jews upon the creation of Israel, however. The "capital" city for the Eastern Orthodox church is Istanbul. It would be fair to say that Muslims have more rights in Europe than Christians and Jews have in the Middle East, but on the other hand, Muslims have more rights even in Israel than they do in most Muslim countries.
