kookie chick, What examples of discrimination against muslims in western countries can you supply.In western countries the discrimination is not built into the law like it is in many islamic countries(ie Saudi Arabia). Christians do NOT discriminate against people who lead a homosexual lifestyle. Christians are implored to love everyone incl gays, but they are not to accept practicing gays fully into the church unless the gay person has repented just as they would not accept anyone else into full membership who has not fully and truly repented of other sins. Well, first and foremost there is nothing to justify since no where does islam preaches the discrimination of jews or christians.You can go anywhere and reserach for yourself, in fact in the quraan Allah talks about them in several places when he says 'people of the scriptures' and 'children of israel.' yes i totally agree with you that islamic law has been lifted from various muslim countries and a lot of coruption has taken place. if you look at the islamic history you will see that non muslims were living under islamic rule with protection and the freedom to practice what they wanted.   10. I'm not sure such discrimination can be justified by Islam. Mohammed himself negotiated and endorsed the 'Constitution of Medina' which laid out religious freedom for 'peoples of the book' (Jews and Christian's). If its good enough for the prophet it should be good enough for Islamic governments. I suspect the discrimination is actually one of politically expediency, rather than having any religious justification at all.

Don't you see what happen if there is more Israel country in the world? I think a lot of Muslim people died without reason. Mohammad's policy was "believe me and God", which is a clever way of making it seem like if you were doubted anything Mohammad was teaching, you insult God and God would punish you for it. Mohammad was really bitter when Christians and Jews rejected his new religion, so he added more to his Koran and told everyone "do not make friends with the people of the Book (Bible). Neat huh?

In fact, it is very tolerant and accepts all other religions and their prophets holding them in very high esteem, allowing freedom of religion. In many Islamic countries, Muslims, Christians and Jews live together. According to the Koran and true Islamic teaching, "There is no compulsion in religion" (2:256), thus, no one can be forced to become a Muslim. Freedom of religion was granted to the Jews and Christians under Muslim rule by Mohamed. They were given equal rights with Muslims and allowed to practice their religion as freely as the Muslims . Forcing Islam on others does make it true Islam. Islam recognizes the rights of the minority. When the Jews were persecuted in Europe and fled to Islamic Spain, they were welcomed by the Muslims fled In Islamic Spain, and the Jews consider that part of their history as the “Golden Era” Christians live in affluence. To conclude, Islam is no different than all other religions in concept and essence, contrary to what many believe that it is bloodthirsty, evil, oppresses women, intolerant, calls for the destruction of anything other than Islam etc. Unfortunately, you may very well come across many unauthenticated websites about Islam that provide gross misinterpretations of the Koran and Hadith. We cannot condemn a whole religion based on the fanatics of that religion. Just as there Muslim fanatics, there are Christian & Jewish fanatics, but we cannot condemn those religions because of a few.
