With Obama as president, it would only get worse. Of course, he could always find out where their camps are and go talk to them and offer them concessions. Kerry is an idiot, which is why he lost the last election. Lots of Democrats weren't voting for Bush but against Kerry.

Trust me, Islamic extremists don't see Obama as a brother or anything different than Bush at this point in time. If anything we in the USA are lucky that terrorists have not taken advantage of our soft Southern border and attacked us again while our troops are 7,000 miles away dying for a cause that has everything to do with benefiting Israel and nothing to do with benefiting the USA. Obama is not an "Islamic" name. It comes from the Luo people of central Africa. The fact that it sounds similar to Osama (a given name, Obama is a family name) is meaningless. Obama is a family name in Japan as well as the name of a town yet no one wonders how the Japanese will react to him becoming president. Obama's heritage is Irish on his mothers side yet no one wonders how Dublin will react.
His name and Muslim connections will probably benefit him IF he were to win with Muslim/Islamic countries. On the other hand, our non-Muslim enemies, Russia, China, Venezuela and N.Korea, will have no respect for Obama and will sooner than later test him. If he wins the POTUS, he will fail, because he has no experience to draw on, in the "big" international scene. We could only hope he doesn't make a "newbie" mistake and pull us into a no win confrontation with another superpower.
