  1. It is true that he got married to 9 wives but not for his pleassure like how the non-muslims think. He got married to them to help them all.
  2. 1-no he married 11 wives, two of them died when he was alive, and when he died he left 9 wives 2-check out my answer in this q http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Aidd4VENrpnE4ZlgmgLZDA3ty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20080225034002AArOkBt&show=7#profile-info-UKPYoPKuaa 3-no,it was allowed only for the prophet for the reasons mentioned in the above points. 4-of course not :D
  3. God did not design men to be married to more than one wife or God would have given Adam more wives than Eve only. Being married to 9 women illuminates Muhammed's deviant sexual nature. Another sexual deviancy that is worse, is when Muhammed was 54 years old, Muhammed consummated a marriage to a 9 year old "Child". That makes Muhammed a "Child Molester"!!!!! Info. from a Muslim site, http://www.anwary-islam.com/women/pwife_aisha.htm Edit; The Bible tells us that there will be those that will be concerned about the Lord's work more than being married, like Jesus was, and in that case, it would be better to be single. 1 Corinthians 7. 32-35 I would like you to be free from concern. An unmarried man is concerned about the Lord's affairs—how he can please the Lord. But a married man is concerned about the affairs of this world—how he can please his wife— And his interests are divided. An unmarried woman or virgin is concerned about the Lord's affairs: Her aim is to be devoted to the Lord in both body and spirit. But a married woman is concerned about the affairs of this world—how she can please her husband. I am saying this for your own good, not to restrict you, but that you may live in a right way in undivided devotion to the Lord. .................................................................. More Edit; I see this scripture to mean that if one is single, it is easier to devote more time to the Lord because there are no family duties to take care of. This is concluded because of other parts in God's Word that encourage and lift up marriage. After all, God said to Adam that it was "not good for man to be alone", didn't He!
  4. No he was married to twelve women. No the most is 4 women but you have to have a valid reason like your wife is sterile and you have to have permission to get married again otherwise you can't get married. God no. It's not allowed. I'm the second AND last wife.
  5. 1) Prophet Muhammad married 11 wives, 9 of them were alive when he died. 2) He married them because they were in bad situations such as widows, empoverish women, not able to bear children ect. 3) Islam allows men to have no more than 4 wive. However there are rules regarding multipal wives in Islam. Such as if a man were going to take a second wife and his first wife did not agree she has the right to get a divorced if he insists on marrying the second one. The husband must provide for his wives the same way that they were provided for before their marraige(i.e. if a girl had a maid in her family's house she should have a maid in her husband's house, if her father gave her a certain amount of spending money per month her husband should give her the same). The husband must treat all of his wives equally in every regard. So if one wife lived in a house before her marriage and had $2000/month spending money her husband has to provide her with the same lifestyle and if he marries a second wife he must give the second everything that he gives the first wife even if she did not have all of that when she was living with her family. In addition the first wife must be able to continue living the same lifestyle that she was living before her husband took his second wife. That means that for example he cannot move his wife from a house to an appartment in order to save money to support his second wife. Also the wives have the right to have seperate houses. And he must spend the same amount of time with each wife. One cannot be treated better than the other in any way. So it is not easy at all to have more than one wife in Islam and it is very rare among muslims for a man to have more than one wife.
  6. Mohammed married 15 women and consummated his marriages with 13. (al-Tabari vol.9 p.126-127) Bukhari vol.1 Book 5 ch.25 no.282 p.172-173 said that [at one time] Mohammed had nine wives.
