How could prophet Muhammed make living aft prophet?

History tells that prophet Muhammed used to work as a shepherd and as a trader before his marriage to Khadija, but it never told us how could he make living after being a 'prophet'? From my understanding that he had nine wives to support. He had 9 homes to look after. History tells us he had lands nad slaves. He even gave away slaves to his daughter, Fatma. When he died, there was a dispute between his daughter Fatma and the new leader, Abu Bakr, regarding a farm that he took over from Jews in war. Was this the only way he made living after being a prophet is by war? or did he do something else?

  4. If I'm not mistaken, much of his property was from the booties of war. However, it is an accepted history that the Prophet lived an austere life, together with his wives and family, regardless of the farms and lands that he possessed. And regarding the Fadak property claimed by the Prophet's daughter, Lady Fatima al-Zahra (God be pleased with her), read the following Hadis: Book of al-Tirmidzi, Chapter 054, Hadith Number 004 (385). -------------------------------------- Lady Ayesha said that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "We have no heirs. What we (the prophets) leave is sadaqah". By sadaqah it is meant that it should be spent on those to whom sadaqah is given, i.e. poor needy people, etc. Sadaqah cannot be given to the Ahlul Bait (family of the Prophet) as the Prophet himself has declared that sadaqah is forbidden upon his Ahlul Bait, which surely includes his beloved daughter, Lady Fatima. The noble family of the Prophet were not in any way, greedy or ostentatious. Read the following sources for authentic information. God knows best. Peace and Love.
  5. First of all he was a trader and did some farming. 2ndly at that time the living was so simple that with few pennies one can live happily. There was no income tax to pay. There was no house rent to pay there was no pepsi to drink, there was no KFC or pizza hut to eat, there was no electricity bill to pay, there was gas bill to pay. To credit card bill to pay, no branded clothes to wear. So lot of money needed for what purposes? At that time the life was simple and no self made worries was there. Therefore it was very easy to live with out money or less money. The life of then Muslims were so simple that in 24 hour they ate only one meal, a small house (made of mud and simple brick) was enough for them. One more thing to clear that he never had 9 wives at the same time. One more thing to clear that there was never a dispute between his daughter and Abu baker.
