How could prophet Muhammed make living?
The history tells that prophet muhammed used to work as a shephard and as a trader before his marriage to Khadiga, but it never told us how could he make living after being a 'prophet'? From my understanding that he had many lands, cattle, and slaves. He even gave away slaves to his daughter, Fatma. When he died, there was a dispute between his daughter Fatma and the new leader, Abu Bakr, about a farm that he took over from jews in war. Is this the only way he made living after being a prophet is by war? or did he do something else? to byefareed: I hope you have noticed my nick 'careful reader'. I never aska question until I have read the whole biography first

- ice cream man
- He became a famous fiction writer, almost as famous as Stephen King in his day.
- Digging for gold
- He got the idea off of TBN. Rip off the innocent.
- The Lord provided all his needs.
- Just like rich people do now, they live off their riches (i.e., land, cattle, slaves)...or maybe his peeps gave him donations.
- this is what i think man. Muhammad was like the Jesus of Christianity(not that holy, just very holy) so if Im a sacred guy going around im like ""hey dude can i get a good piece of bread" and thats it they just give you what you want. I guess he was just cheap.
- Well, he started out playing craps. When that didn't pan out all too well he played the 3 card game where you have to guess which card is the ace. He was much better at this since he could prophesise who whas a dumb ass. In his later years he made a living at the carnival guessing people's weight.
- He could star in his own cartoon series, but I wouldn't recommend it. Some people seem to be defensive about this particular career field.
- He made his living the same way he spread Islam. He raised a private army and took what he wanted and anybody who refused to convert to Islam was killed.
- visit www.islam-online.org and ask the sholars there...Otherwise read a book titled 'the sealed nector' -it's a biography on the prophet (Peace and Blessing of Allah be Upon him).
- How did jesus make a living? You never hear about that either.
- Whatever it was, he made a good prophet. Ta-daa!!
- Mohammed was a warrior, and a fierce one. Besides for what he looted from people he conquered, he forced the Jews to pay dzhizya, tribute.
- After becoming a prophet, he waged war on several places - the standard practice was to let his fighters plunder (take what they wanted) from the defeated city/place. So I guess that's how he got rich. Also, his wife was a businesswoman and had made quite a fortune herself (and she financed a lot of his activities to spread the religion).
- the name that land was Fadak.a very small land he owned and he gave it to his daughter after he died.as imam Ali says:from every thing that sky was above it Fadak was ours.until some people invaded it and took it from us(Abo bakr)and what I am about to do with Fadak and those who took it from us by force? in fact he never objected the cruelty of Abo bakr. couse God is watching every thing and he is has the most justice and will payback the cruel so hard.
- not much were mentioned. i guess he is a rich person. like the others in its own country.
- Read His biography to find out how rich he was, then you'll understand the truth. Telling you something here briefly will not help you in anyway.
- YOU need to understand my friend this simple word first "historical distortion" 1400yrs ago to 2005..there has ben many losses in record keeping. there are point of view t this question....one which is based on real fact and sound history..one based on an anti-islamic concept and the last one a pro-islamic concept. but as far as i know he was head of state as well in madina..and as any head of state he had his wages....because after his death, his wives received a widow money..some like that
